1. The 2016 Olympic Games.

Yep, the Olympics are being hosted in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and it’s sure to be a blast for anyone interested in sports!

2. 2016 is a leap year.

There’s an extra day in 2016 – February 29 will be added to the calendar! This means there’s a total of 366 days and one extra day to make the most of the year!

3. Ariana Grande is releasing her new album Moonlight.

We don’t know the exact release date yet, but could this mean a tour to Australia? We sure hope so!

4. Finding Dory gets released in cinemas.

We’ve been waiting for a sequel to Finding Nemo since 2003! It’s about time that we had another underwater adventure with the gang. The movie hits cinemas June 17 2016.

5. New series of The Powerpuff Girls is coming to Cartoon Network.

Our faves Bubbles, Daisy and Buttercup are making a comeback in an all new cool series! They’ll be having some amazing adventures in Townsville, and we can’t wait to see it.
