Fun Times Countdown
At the beginning of the night, give everyone a balloon (or a few, depending on how many of you there are) and ask them to blow it up. Have Mum or Dad on standby in case, like us, you can't tie the balloon up tight! Then, on each balloon, write a time - we like writing the start of each hour, like 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and so on. Each time the clock strikes a new hour, someone gets to pop that balloon! If you have so many awesome ideas that your sleepover schedule is bursting at the seams, this is a great way to stick to the schedule!
Go on an a-maze-ing adventure...
Create a crepe paper maze in the hallway by taping strands of crepe paper to either side of the wall - it's just like a laser maze that Frankie Fox would have to navigate! Make it extra challenging by asking a grown-up to put the maze up, so even you don't know the secret way through it! If you create it yourself, be sure to put pieces of crepe paper high and low on either side of the wall, so partygoers have to snake their way up and down the course. LOLs guaranteed!
Balls of Laughter!
A toss-and-talk ball always goes down well, especially when you feel like the vibe of your sleepover needs a boost. Before the sleepover starts, ask mum to pick up a plain plastic ball from the shops, plus a permanent marker. Then, write questions or silly instructions all over the ball in random places. They can be anything from โWhat would you buy if you won the lottery?โ to โPat your head and rub your stomach!โ, but remember not to put anything that you think might embarrass one of your friends or hurt their feelings. Always think, โWould I laugh or answer honestly if I got this question?โ If the answer is yes, then go ahead and write it! At the sleepover, get everyone to sit in a circle, and have one person toss the ball to someone else. Whatever is written under the catcherโs right thumb is what they have to do, or the question they have to answer.
Truth or Dare 2.0!
By the time it's super late, most TGs will still be awake (thanks to all the excitement and lollies!) but Mum and Dad are always like, โYou've gotta be extra quiet!โ Itโs the perfect time for truth or dare! Give this old sleepover favourite a much-needed mix-up by placing slips of paper with truths and dares inside layers of a pass-the-parcel!
