Step 1: Think of a name. Who is your magazine for? What is a common audience trait? For example, if your magazine is for your friends, try something like 'Besties Gazette' or 'BFF Chronicles'.

Step 2: What will the theme be for your first issue? What topics are you interested in?

For example: action and adventure, cooking and baking, design and fashion or sports.

Step 3: Decide on a cover star. Who's your fave star? Who inspires you? Ideally your cover star should also embody your theme.

For example: Taylor Swift LOVES baking!

Step 4: Brainstorm article ideas. Who can you interview? What recipes do you know? Maybe review the last movie you saw. Quizzes and games are always a winner.

Step 5: Create!

Start writing, photographing, drawing and crafting your content. Don't be afraid to ask your friends and family to contribute content - you can write their names on the first page as 'Feature writers', 'Designers' or 'Photographers'! Don't forget to put your name at the top as the 'Editor' though!

Step 6: Ask your friends to edit. Ask them to read through your drafts to check for spelling mistakes and confirm your facts.

Update your drafts with their feedback.

Step 7: Publish!

Staple all your pages together in order, with your cover star and magazine name at the front. Start with one copy your friends can share, and make more as demand soars!
