It's always been my dream to attend red carpet events and hang out with celebs. I never ever thought I'd actually be getting to do just that as Total Girl's entertainment writer! But way before I got my job at TG I was still a little celeb chaser. In fact I was quite proud of my celeb tracking skills. I was always the first of my friends to find out when a celeb was coming in to Sydney and even dragged my bestie time after time to the airport to see if I could meet them as soon as they got off their plane. Sure I wasn't successful every time, but it was always a fun adventure!

If you're anything like me you'll be totes excited to get some insider goss on how to become a celeb chaser too. Here are some simple tips:
What to pack

• Camera (Hello?! Obviously you need a pic of you and your new celeb bestie)
• Sensible shoes (Running past other fans may be required)
• A poster of the celeb and a sharpie/ permanent texta (For their autograph)
• Water (It's thirsty work, so got to keep hydrated)

What to do

• Get the goss. Find a date and location of where they're coming to. For example if Timomatic is going to do an in-store signing, find out what time he'll be arriving for your chance to meet him.
• Red carpet events. The great thing about celebs is they love a photo op, which means that if there's going to be a red carpet event in your city, then they are sure to be there and so should you. Make sure you get in early to get a prime position on the red carpet.
• After concerts. After concerts some super sneaky fans have a secret and I'm sharing this one with you. Find the back entrance or loading dock to the venue, casually hang out or ask security if the celeb is coming out to meet fans. Nine time out of 10 they pop out for a quick hello and sign a few items before jetting back to their hotel.
