Hi TGs!
Once upon a time, the planets and the fates and all the stars aligned. Yep, our ‘Wildest Dreams’ came true when Team TG and friends went to not one but TWO of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Sydney shows. We dressed up, made (and wore) the friendship bracelets, and headed to Accor Stadium on Saturday and Monday night for experiences we’ll 'Forever & Always' remember.
And, of course, we’d love to share these amazing memories with you! Below you’ll find our highlights of Night 2 and Night 4, and what it’s like to be at an Eras Tour concert.
Sydney Night 2 – February 24, 2024

The vibe on night two was absolutely magical, the storms stayed away, and the crowd? SO loud! Here are our top five highlights from this show:
1. Seeing fellow Swifties dressed up as their favourite Eras – we spotted lots of cowboy hats and boots (hello Debut and Fearless), shimmery sequins (hi Midnights), all the black for reputation, red dresses and ‘A lot going on at the moment’ tees for Red, and ALL the glitter and pastel pink for Lover. Swifties are so creative.
2. Swapping friendship bracelets. Wow! Swifties have been so busy crafting up beautiful bracelets with song titles, albums and lyrics. Everyone was checking out each other’s incredible work and picking their favourites to trades. Our fave scores were a ‘Mirrorball’ bracelet with shiny mirrorball beads and a super cute purple one inspired by ‘Lavender Haze’.
3. Lots of special Tay moments, like everyone putting on their phone torches for ‘Marjorie’ (which looked like a fairy tale paired with the awesome light up wristbands you get given when you enter the stadium), and a sprinkle of rain during the 10-minute version of ‘All Too Well’.
4. Tay talk! Whenever she spoke to the crowd everyone roared with excitement. It was so cool when Taylor told us that Sabrina Carpenter (the opening act and this month’s TG cover star!) said we were “extremely lit”, and that she loves our accents and how we say ‘no’ (‘nahhhh!’ ‘naurrrr!’), which inspired one of the surprise songs in the Acoustic set.
5. Being surrounded by pure joy and happiness. Taylor is a talented singer and songwriter, but she’s also a superstar at creating experiences that makes so many people happy. Everywhere we looked, people were singing, dancing and smiling from ear to ear. It felt like the best dream ever being there!

Sydney Night 2 - Incredible Things
Crowd size: 82,000
Surprise songs: ‘Should've Said No’ / ‘You're Not Sorry’ mashup + ‘New Year’s Day’ + ‘Peace’ mashup – this was the first time in The Eras Tour history that Tay did mash-ups for BOTH surprise songs!
Our favourite songs on the night: ‘Love Story’, ‘All Too Well’, ‘Champagne Problems’, ‘22’ (and way too many others to name!)
Our favourite Tay outfit: Her lilac Speak Now ballgown

Sydney Night 4 – February 26
TG editor Ange went to the last Australian show for The Eras Tour with her besties and had the BEST time! There was a slight sprinkle of rain, which had us excited that we could see Tay perform one of her famous ‘rain shows’, but it ended up going away. Everyone was so happy and friendly – from the crowds to the police officers (Ange even swapped friendship bracelets with one)!

Here are five highlights from Night 4 – we tried to pick different ones to Night 2!
1. Tay’s outfits – OMTG, Ange was SO happy that she got to see Taylor in the pink Lover bodysuit AND the pink blazer for ‘The Man’! She also loved that Tay wore the green flowing dress for the acoustic set and the blue versions of the folklore dress and Midnights crystal shirt. The most exciting outfit for Ange though was the ‘22’ shirt being the same one that she was wearing – OMTG!

2. Journeying through all the Eras – this did not feel like a 3 ½ hour show, it went by way too fast! It was really cool though seeing hits from Tay’s 18-year career live and the transition from Era to Era? Chef’s kiss! We were so impressed by how quickly she changes from one Era to the next! It was also just cool seeing all the different outfits in the crowd and making new friends while swapping bracelets and finding out fans’ favourite Eras are.
3. The ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ comment – After Tay says “This is exhausting, we are never ever getting back together’”, her dancer Kameron chimes in with a comment to replace the usual “Like ever”. During the Australian shows, Kameron has been changing it up to each night to give it an Aussie flavour. Hearing him say “rack off, mate” had us howling with laughter!
4. Fan chants – Getting to scream the bridge in ‘Cruel Summer’ with 84, 499 other people is pretty epic! We also felt pretty special doing the “Sydney” chant in ‘Blank Space’ since no other city on the tour will get to do that!
5. Surprise songs – it’s so exciting to see what Tay performs during the acoustic set. Now that she’s added mash-ups to the mix, it’s levelled up even more! Ange is a massive ‘Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve’ fan so she screamed when Tay played that first on guitar! Mashing it up with ‘Ivy’ was something we didn’t see coming! Then for the piano song, starting with ‘Forever & Always’ and then going into ‘Maroon’ – how does Taylor come up with these combos?! Our minds are blown over how good they are!

Sydney Night 4 - Incredible Things
Crowd size: 84, 500
Surprise songs: ‘Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve’/’Ivy’ mashup + ‘Forever and Always’/’Maroon’ mashup
Our favourite songs on the night: All of them! Okay, fine… ‘Long Live’, ‘Fearless’, ‘Betty’, and ‘Karma’
Our favourite Tay outfit: Pink lover bodysuit with the pink blazer, hands down!
It Was Rare, We Were There… and we’ll remember it all too well. Thanks so much for these wonderful shows, Tay! We were enchanted to meet you.
