Banana Split Recipe

Create this amazing treat with 4 ingredients!
Easy banana split recipe! Photography: 4 Ingredients KIDS
Makes 4 | Eat on special occasions

What you need:
  • 4 bananas
  • 16 marshmallows
  • 4 scoops creamy vanilla ice-cream
  • 1/2 cup strawberry sauce / topping

What to do:

  1. Peel the bananas and lay each into four serving plates.
  2. Dot each with 4 marshmallows, dollop with ice- cream and drizzle with strawberry sauce.

Optional: If serving as dessert at a party, add wafers and M&Ms for a real burst of colour.
Alternatively, substitute strawberry sauce with your own homemade chocolate sauce; in a small saucepan over low heat, melt 100g of butter, add 1/2 cup (110g) brown sugar, 1/2 cup (125ml) cream and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and stir for 3 minutes or until well combined.
Cool a little prior to serving.
