Work on a community garden.
Find one in your area, perhaps in a park, and join in on regular planting and harvesting sessions.
Compost your veggies.
Turn green waste from your kitchen slowly back into soil. Manage your pile well and you’ll be able to use the peaty substance for things like potting mix and mulching. Ask a green-thumbed adult how to do this.
Like your bike.
The more you can spend time on two wheels the better – it’s healthy and carbon-neutral.
Start a Walking School Bus.
If there are lots of kids in your suburb who need to head to your school, see if you can get some adults to take you over on foot. This could take a bunch of cars off the road!
Be smart about chemicals.
Don’t want some chemicals anymore? Don’t just dump them or tip them down the sink, dispose of them correctly and with care.
