Hi Total Girls!
Two words. Olly Murs! I had SO much fun hanging out with Olly who had come all the way from the U.K. We chatted about his journey from X Factor UK runner up to international pop star. Olly said that he gets the inspiration for his music from cartoons and speaking to his friends. The coolest part was when he said that he could write a song inspired by Saturday Disney. (DO IT!!) That really made my day! I was also impressed by Olly's Aussie knowledge. I decided to play a game with him called 'In Case You Didn't Know' which was inspired by his album. I held up Aussie objects for Olly to identify. He named the koala correctly as well as the ugg boots! He thought the kookaburra was a woodpecker and had no idea what the ANZAC biscuit was... but ate it anyway! Olly Olly Olly, Oi Oi Oi!

After chilling on the couch, it was time to get up and learn ballet! I was so stoked about becoming a ballerina that I rushed out to get a pretty tutu and tiara. But I didn't realize that ballet isn't glamorous when you have to wear pointe shoes. I had a go at standing up in the pointes after some convincing from Dana Stephensen, a dancer from The Australian Ballet. I felt as though I needed an ice bucket after my experience... I can't imagine what it would be like after an entire show! The pointe shoes are designed to make ballet dancers look like they're floating across the stage. It didn't work for me... I looked like I was stepping on bindis in the garden. I was so impressed after meeting Chengwu Guo, a male soloist with the Australian Ballet. He was basically a pretzel... I don't think I've ever seen anyone as flexible as him. He lifted me up in a little routine he taught me... for a second you might have thought I was a real ballerina (emphasis on the second).

Can't wait to tell you what I get up to next! Until then, keep celeb spotting and take a ballet class (I dare you!)
Love Candice xx
PS don't forget Saturday Disney is now on 7TWO Saturdays at 7am.
