We hung out with the team from Nick News to get all things behind the scenes goss and advice for our TG readers!
Hey guys! What’s the coolest thing about being a host for Nick News? 😎
Ava: Being on set and working with such a fun crew!
Leyla-Princess: I love absolutely everything about being a Nick News host. It’s so much fun and exciting every time we are together filming.
Silia: Being a host for Nick News is the best. It’s literally so cool presenting global entertainment news for the kids by the kids. By being a host, I also feel like I am inspiring future young presenters and young aspiring actors. What is also cool, is that the crew are absolutely amazing, and the cast are my best friends, which is an absolute bonus.
Cole: Spending time with my amazing co-hosts, seeing fun places and learning lots of cool facts.
Nakita: The coolest thing about being a Nick News host is definitely being on set surrounded by such amazing people! And also, the exciting projects that are yet to come like travelling, dance gigs and more.
What advice do you have for readers who dream of getting into presenting or content creating?
Ava: Don’t let the fear of what other people might think hold you back! If it’s something you want to do, go off it!
Leyla-Princess: Never stop working towards your goals, believe in yourself and stay true to who you are as a person. Oh and enjoy every step of your journey along the way.
Silia: If this is your dream, then go for it. If this is what you would really love to do, then do it. Believe in yourself and don’t let fear get in the way. Work hard because nothing comes easy, train and educate yourself and watch and learn from other presenters, but also enjoy the journey, because it can be so much fun.
Cole: Just keep at it because practise makes perfect.
Nakita: My best advice for readers who dream of presenting or content creating is to always be humble in the workspace and if you have an idea that you think will work go with it!
What’s your best piece of advice for presenting on stage / in front of camera? 🎥
Ava: Be yourself!! Authenticity really translates to your audience!
Leyla-Princess: Be natural, be yourself, be positive and show the audience how happy you are to be doing what you love and have fun.
Silia: My advice is to be true to you and who you are, so that the audience can genuinely connect and relate with you.
Cole: Don’t get in your own head. You learn from mistakes and sometimes they can make a situation fun
Nakita: My best advice would be to always be prepared, make sure to listen to direction from your directors and producers and just have fun because that’s what makes it so enjoyable!
