Hi Poh! What’s a behind the scenes secret about this season of MasterChef Australia that you can share with TGs?

P: For anyone who thinks there’s favourites, forget it. I can’t tell you how rigid the rules are for judging - always about the dishes cooked that day, not the person or the potential, so we often have to argue it out. It gets heated! 

This season the show travels to Hong Kong! Where else would you like to film?  

P: I’d love to go to Vietnam, Korea, Japan, China and New York City! 

Who would you love to have as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia?

P: Nigella Lawson because cooking from “Domestic Goddess” was such a turning point for me. 

You’re hosting a dinner party, what’s your signature meal and dessert?

P: Moussaka from a season 1 George Calombaris taste test recipe and creme caramel. 

At this dinner party you can invite five people. Who would you pick?

P: Jane Fonda, Nigella Lawson, Samin Nosrat, Conan O’Brien, and Dax Shephard.

This is our Furr-ever Friends issue. Tell us about your pets. What’s your favourite thing to do with them?

P: I love playing hide and seek with Tim my Scottish Terrier. I also have 2 budgies, Pee Wee and Tulip. 

What’s one food that you could eat forever?

P: Rice or noodles 

Which MasterChef judge makes you laugh the most?

P: Jean-Christophe 

Which MasterChef judge is often found snacking in between takes?

P: Me
