Did you know that in the Southern Hemisphere, horse birthdays are all celebrated on August 1?
Of course not every horse is born on August 1, but the horse-racing industry uses this date to work out a standard age of all the racehorses.
We LOVE animals and think this is a brilliant excuse to celebrate horses!

• Male horses are stallions, females are mares, young males are colts and young females are fillies.
• Horses can run shortly after they're born!
