Tay Tay received a very special award from… her mum! Even though she’s changed over to more pop type music since the release of her super cool album 1989, Tay was invited back to where it all started, so she could receive the ACM Milestone Award to honour her achievements since starting out as a country artist.

Tay’s mum gave her a beautiful speech, saying:

“I’ve watched this milestone artist from the time she was a tangled-haired little girl, growing up on our farm, full of imagination and creativity, until right now as she prepares for her next world tour,” Mrs Swift (AKA Andrea) began. “And ever since then, her favourite thing to do has been to write a song, tell a story and play a guitar or piano. I’ve seen those things carry her through every emotion and every experience in her life - good or bad.”

How spesh is that? We’re so excited for Tay and all her achievements. Just like her mum!
