What You Need:
- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 200g unsalted butter, chopped
- 150g packet Oreo cookies
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- ¾ cup plain flour
What To Do:
- Preheat oven to 160C. Grease base and sides of a 12-hole loose base square dessert pan (¾-cup capacity).
- Place chocolate and butter in a large heatproof bowl. With an adults help, sit the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Using a large metal spoon, stir until melted and smooth. Place bowl on bench and leave to cool slightly for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, break Oreo cookies into pieces and then place in a snaplock bag and seal. Now fun the fun part! Using a rolling pin, pound the bag until the cookies are roughly crushed.
- Add crushed cookies to chocolate mixture with sugar and eggs. Sift flour into the mixture then combine.
- Divide mixture evenly into the individual holes in the pan then pour into the brownie tray.
- Ask an adult to put the pan in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving. If you have used a normal brownie tray, cut into squares.
