Hi Total Girls!

I love exploring Australia. There is so much in our own backyard that we don’t know about! I recently travelled to Townsville, Queensland and then caught a seaplane to Magnetic Island. That’s right, a plane that lands in the sea! It was my first time on a seaplane and I was really excited. It was all smooth sailing (or should I say flying) until the pilot decided to do a trick and took us upside down! Hello butterflies! It’s all very glamorous until you realise you’ve got to walk through the water to get onto the beach. Luckily for me, the pilot was kind enough to give me a piggyback!

I must say that the locals were very friendly...especially the koalas and horses! I love cuddling koalas because they grip on to you like you’re a tree! I could seriously hold a koala all day long! Now, I’m not the most confident horse rider but horses are one of my favourite animals. I rode a beautiful horse called Freckles through a paddock filled with mint before taking some horses for a swim at the beach. It can be dangerous so I had the help of a professional to guide me through the water. Our instructors carefully helped us into the ocean and the horses loved it! It was a great way for them to cool down. It was one of the most bizarre/fantastic moments in my life!
