Aussie girl Naomi Sequeira is the star of Disney Channel’s new spooky mini-series Evermoor!
TGers will probably recognize Naomi as co-host of ‘Hanging with Adam & Naomi’, but now she’ll also be playing Tara Crossley in Evermoor! Tara is an American teenager who moves to an English village and discovers danger, mystery and intrigue in her new home.
We caught up with Naomi for our October issue to chat about the spooky new show and her experience on set!
TG: What’s it like getting to film in the UK?
Naomi: I love English accents – so cool! And England’s awesome, not the weather but the people.
TG: Tell us a bit about Evermoor.
Naomi: Well, the Crossley family moves into the middle of England to the spooky, mystical village of Evermoor. The manor is a creepy mansion with a tapestry that predicts the future. My character Tara wants to solve mysteries so she goes on this journey with her step-brother to put the pieces together and save her family from danger.
TG: Did it challenge you to play Tara?
Naomi: Tara was such a privilege because I can kind of relate to her, she’s got a big personality and I can relate to her being geeky and tomboyish and I love that she’s got the answer to everything. I can be a bit nosy sometimes and that’s Tara.
TG: Since it’s nearly Halloween, what scares you most?
Naomi: Crocodiles and sharks! I’m also scared of ghosts but interested in them as well. I want to go ghost hunting!
