Ready to make your own invisible ink? Follow these simple instructions and send secret messages to all your friends.
What you need: Iron, Glass of Milk, Paper and Cotton Buds
  • Full cream milk
  • Cotton tips
  • An iron
  • Paper
  • An adult to help with the iron
What to do:
  1. Dip the cotton tip into the milk and make sure it's soaked through.

Dip the cotton bud in the milk
  2. Use the milky cotton tip to write a message on the paper.
Write your message using the cotton bud

  3. Allow the milk to dry on the paper. This should take about 30 minutes.
  4. Get an adult to iron the paper. Run the iron over the paper a few times and the secret message should appear on the paper.
How it works:
The heat from the iron actually burns the fat in the milk causing the colour of the milk to change.
