How To Make A Snow Globe

How To Make A Snow Globe

Create a DIY winter wonderland in a jar!
DIY Snow Globe!

What You Need:
  • Empty clear jar
  • Distilled water
  • Glitter
  • Plastic or ceramic figurines
  • Plastic greenery/foliage
  • Foam balls
  • Craft glue
  • Glycerol
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Teaspoon

What To Do:
Step 1: Wash and dry your jar to ensure it’s completely clean, then paint the lid with a coat of paint to pretty it up. Leave to dry.
Step 2: Tear the foam balls in half and glue to the inside of the lid to form a pile of snow. Leave a small section around the rim of the lid uncovered, so you can screw the lid back on with ease.
Step 3: Glue the snowman in the centre of the lid. Behind and around the snowman glue four foliage stems. Don’t be shy of using too much glue, as it will blend in with the water. Leave to dry overnight.
Step 4: Fill the jar almost up to the top with distilled water. Add one teaspoon of glitter and one teaspoon of glycerol, which will make the glitter float down at a slower rate. Carefully place the lid back onto the jar and screw tightly. Flip it upside down and shake it all about!

Let it snow!
