Taylor Swift has gotten herself into trouble with an environmental agency - for feeding possums!

The singer made a late-night visit to a park in Melbourne with her bandmates to feed the wild furry rodents while she was on tour in Australia.

She tweeted: "Tonight the band and I played a show, then hopped in the van and headed to the park for some midnight wild possum feeding."

However, Australian wildlife authorities have spoken out against her, saying her night-time petting session could cause "disruption" to the animals, making them vulnerable to attack.

I think it's so sad she did this...totally wrong!!! I love Taylor a lot but seriously ruining our wildlife?? That's just low!!!! Even though I absolutely love 'Fifteen'

Uhh I am thinking it is a important issue and you know for us here is ok I am from Asia and you can feed any animals here you may even bring it home and for us it is ok come to asia you will love it I am from Malaysia Kuching I live in a foresty jungle but a nice house cause I even have my own lake to fish and squirals to see hope you can sing Here Ps.anywhere is same just that the people are not

I think it's completly fine for Taylor to want to feed the possums. She is new to Australia and is still learning about the rules and laws. Plus it was nice for her to think of feeding them=)

I dont think theres anything wrong with Tay wanting to feed the possums- she's new to Australia and just probably wanted to see our wildlife!!

WOW! I used to feed possums, personally, I don't think feeding possums is a problem, as long as you feed them the right food, and not lollies and stuff. But I can see how it would be a problem, but a one off wouldn't do much harm, I hope she enjoyed the experiance, cause possums are awesome! POSSUMS ROCK! and so does TAYLOR SWIFT.
