    by TG's Aaron | Apr 04, 2017
    Yo TGs!

SLIME CUP fans rejoice. Back and better than ever, SLIME CUP returns for a second season, and we're ~so~ heppeh! Nothing lights up our lives like a good old fashion sliming. This year's Cup is set to have crazier challenges, bigger spills and more ways to get slimed.

    Slimed-lge

Open to all kids aged 9 - 13 from across Australia and New Zealand. Partner up with a sibling or bestie and submit your audition videos online or pre-register to complete a series of challenges at on-ground level events. But hey, best to check with a parent/guardian before doing so, coz you know how good parents are with that kind of thing! Nickelodeon is also bringing live tryouts to Queensland (Sunday April 9 9am - 4pm at Sea World, Gold Coast) and NSW (Sunday April 23 9pm - 4pm at Westfields Mt Druitt).

    Slime-Cup-lge

Reporting from the front lines, Kristy Best along with a yet-to-be-announced U.S. Nickelodeon star will be taking care of the hosting duties. I wonder who this mystery star could be? Any guesses, TGs?

SLIME CUP premieres on Nickelodeon Friday June 30 at 5:30pm.

    Catch ya later!

  • Ferdinand Trailer

    by TG's Aaron | Apr 03, 2017
    Hey TGs!

Happy Monday to you all. I hope you've been having a wonderful time, I'm sure you have :)

I tell you what, there's nothing like kicking off the day with a cool new movie trailer. This one in particular looks real promising and way cute.

Brought to you by the creators of Ice Age and RIO, Ferdinand is a big bull with an even bigger heart. Set in Spain (OMTG's the colours and costumes a ~sooo~ pretty. I can already tell this is going to be a delight to watch), this animated adventure proves that you can't judge a book by its cover, nor can you judge a bull by its, ah, horns... if that makes sense. It's a tale of a kind spirited bull who is mistaken for a dangerous beast and shipped far away from home. He'll need the help of a rag-tag group of misfits to make it back to his family.

Great, huh? Ferdinand is voiced by wrestler and Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2017 host, John Cena. Another big name is the hilar Kate McKinnon, who played Jillian Holtzmann in last year's Ghosbusters reboot. Urrrrmm, yeaaaaah!

Ferdinand bull-dozes cinemas Boxing Day, 2017!

What do you think, TGs? I personally am excited to see more from this movie; it looks like a heartwarming story with plenty of giggles to boot!

    All the best TGs :)

  • New The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Trailer

    by TG's Aaron | Mar 21, 2017
    What up TGs!

Paging all Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans. Can I get a show of hands who's mad keen for the latest movie adaption of this hilar book series? Just as I thought – too many to count ;)

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is the second film adaption of this much loved series by author and illustrator Jeff Kinney. Greg Heffley returns in another adventure riddled with mishaps. Greg has convinced his fam that a road trip to make Meemaw's 90th birthday party is a great idea, but little do they know – he's got a plan to become famous! In true Diary of a Wimpy Kid style, life just isn't that simple... it's destined to be a long haul.

OMTG! This looks like it could be heaps of fun. Also, that piglet!! I. WANT. ONE.

What do you think, TGs? Could this be just as good as the first movie? Or even better? The movie hits cinemas June school holidays, so we'll have to wait 'til then to tell.

    Catch ya later, TGs :)

  • Beauty and the Beast!

    by TG's Aaron | Mar 06, 2017
    Hey TGs!

I don't want to make you all jelly, but some of the TG crew got a very special surprise today. Claire, Abbey and myself went to a super secret private screening of Beauty and the Beast featuring our fave, Emma Watson.

So, what did we think? It was ~awesome~ woo! We had so much fun watching it. We totally had to refrain from singing along in the movie theatre, the music is catchy and absolutely beautiful. Check out Claire and Abbey hanging out with the magical rose below!

    B&B-lge

We had such a great time, so much so that we're going to share with you three reasons we each loved the movie (no spoilers, I promise).

    Aaron
    1)
The special effects, OMTG the Beast looks amaze
    2)
Gaston is hilar and so full of himself, he provides so many LOLs
    3)
Um, Emma Watson for sure, she is the best!

    Claire
    1)
Hearing Emma sing is ah-mazing, and I love how much she loves to read, just like I do!
    2) EVERY musical number is pretty great, but espesh 'Be Our Guest' and ‘Gaston' (ROFL at that one).
    3) It’s really exciting – parts of it will get your heart pumping, other parts will have you sighing for sure! Also, can I just say – I heart Mrs Potts! She’s the best!

    Abbey
    1)
The detail in all the costumes, everything looked so magical
    2)
Belle, she’s my fave Disney princess of all time and Emma Watson did such an amazing job portraying her
    3)
Lumière was hilarious, him singing Be Our Guest was so fun!

There you have it TGs, it's got big love from the TG crew. I'm going to let you in on a little secret, too – if you want to read more about Beauty and the Beast, and of course, our main maiden, Emma Watson, then grab a copy of our April issue on sale Monday March 13!

    Bye,

    Aaron :)

  • Barbie Video Game Hero Trailer

    by TG's Aaron | Feb 28, 2017
    Hey TGs!

I hope you are having a ~real~ nice time :) I am, especially since this has just landed at TGHQ.

Barbie's back and this time it's all about the gaming and coding, which I think is a really cool concept. When Barbie is magically transported to into her fave videogame she has to complete it level by level to save the virtual world!

Now that looks like a lot of fun. If I could transport into a game, it would defs be Super Mario! It would be way cool to collect gold coins and transport through the green pipes. LOL!
Barbie Video Game Hero is available on DVD Wednesday March 1, so there's not long to wait!

What did you think of the trailer, looking forward to catching this? Let me know in the comments below :)

    Catch ya later, TGs!
